Welcome back, everyone, for another actual intelligence interview. Today we're talking about how to build a streamlined business for maximum impact. And to help us unpack that, we have an expert who's really made a science of it. Well, thank you. I appreciate you having me on. Happy to share what I've learned over the years. Follow me. Let's jump right in. Yeah. I think one of the biggest challenges for entrepreneurs, especially when they're first starting out, is coming up with that winning product idea.
How do you even approach that? You know, it really is all about identifying a need. Right. What problem are you solving? What are people struggling with? Once you have that figured out, I think you're on the right track. Right. So it's not about coming up with this, like, cool idea in a vacuum. You really have to be meeting a demand that's out there in the marketplace. But how do you figure out what those demands even are?
Well, I use a combination of strategies. One thing I do is I pay really close attention to what people are saying online. You know, what are they talking about in forums or on social media? What are they saying in reviews? Are there any recurring complaints or unmet needs that kind of stand out to me? So you're like doing market research in real time. Exactly. And then to get even more specific, I'll often create polls and surveys.
So I'll present, you know, a few different product concepts and just ask people to vote on which one they would be most interested in. I love that. That's such a great way to get direct feedback from your target audience. Yeah, it takes the guesswork out of it. Absolutely. And the data that you get back can be so valuable. I ran a poll recently with three different product ideas, and one idea got over 50% of the votes.
So that was a very clear sign to me that, okay, I was onto something here. I love that. Data driven. You're validating your ideas before you invest all this time and energy. Exactly. So you've got your winning idea. Now what? What's your process for actually creating that product? So I've developed a system that allows me to create high quality products in under 30 days. And it all starts with a detailed outline of the content.
